Lilting - Theatre

Cambodian director Hong Khaou’s debut feature was praised for its understated and austere representation of grief when it opened the BFI’s Flare Festival in March. Set in contemporary London, Ben Whishaw stars as Richard who connects with the Chinese-Cambodian mother of his recently deceased lover, Kai, despite the lack of a common language.
